In the eighties, Scotland was the place to be for musical talent, with the likes of Simple Minds, Proclaimers, The Waterboys and Deacon Blue. One of the best kept secrets from that time was without any doubt Big Country. They even succeeded in making their guitars sound like bagpipes.
When Queen ruled the world in 1985 (remember their triumphant passage at Live Aid!), they asked Big Country as their support act and Kate Bush even sang backings on one of their albums.
Since 2007 Big Country is back in full force and they will prove their timeless class and power once more on August 10th in Middelkerke.
