Wet Wet Wet

Once, this Scottish bands, jumped on stage as ‘Vortex Motion’, but in 1984 they - wisely changed the name into Wet Wet Wet. Like their peers Duran Duran, Talk Talk or The The, they chose for a double, or in this case, triple name. It might have to do something with the well known Scottish weather.

By the end of the eighties, they’ve scored some hits like ‘Wishing I Was Lucky’ and ‘Angel Eyes’, but their big break came with ‘Four Weddings And A Funeral’. That movie made sure no-one ever forget the stumbling and the hair from Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell’s bright eyes and Wet Wet Wet’s rendition of ‘Love Is All Around’. The most successful singalong from the nineties.

It’s been over 20 years Wet Wet Wet was in our country (Proms in 1998), we’re therefore proud to have these Scottish legends on the Nostalgie Beach Festival.
